OUR STORY

The Northern Maine Brewing Company was born from a simple idea and a profound desire to make a positive impact on our local economy. A group of friends, united by a love for beer and a vision for economic development in Aroostook County, came together to transform this notion into a reality.

As we sipped beers and brainstormed under the Northern Maine sky, the concept of utilizing local resources to create exceptional brews took shape. The question was not just about making great beer but also about how we could contribute to the economic development of our beloved community.

Our commitment to Aroostook County is evident in every pour. We sought out the finest local ingredients, weaving the agricultural richness of our region into the fabric of our beers. Our 300-foot well provides an endless supply of pristine water, Buck Farms in Mapleton became our source for high-quality malted barley, and Aroostook Hops in Westfield supplied unique hop varieties flourishing in our climate.

To ensure the highest quality, we turned to the expertise of Flecks Technik in Austria. This world-class brewing system, rooted in centuries of Austrian brewing traditions, became the cornerstone in our journey towards crafting consistently excellent beers.

Our beers are a tribute to the hardworking spirit and rich heritage of Aroostook County. With every sip, you taste the essence of local farms, the scent of pine forests, and the authenticity of our outdoor pursuits. We crafted a narrative in every brew—a story that embodies the unique character of our community.

What started as a seed of an idea has grown into a fine drinking and dining establishment. Our brewery is more than a place to enjoy exceptional brews; it's a testament to the potential for economic growth rooted in community, heritage, and unwavering commitment to quality.

Today, Northern Maine Brewing Company stands as a beacon of community engagement, heritage preservation, and quality craftsmanship. It's a gathering place where locals and visitors alike experience the warmth of Aroostook County. Join us in toasting to our roots, our growth, and the bright future ahead—cheers!
